A note from our practitioner
Bio With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Damion has dedicated her practice to Thai physical therapies, Thai medical massage, fascia manipulation, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral methods, and manual therapy. She brings a gentle, informed approach to helping the body heal and return to balance.
Her work is rooted in a deep respect for traditional healing practices, combined with a focused understanding of anatomy and body alignment. Her specialties include pre- and post-surgical support, prenatal and postpartum care, lymphatic balancing, fascial and craniosacral work.
Damion is a thrice-certified instructor of Thai massage and has directed a nationally recognized Thai massage school, accredited by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). The school offers over 12 courses, ranging from beginner to advanced levels, with more than 500 hours of continuing education available to massage professionals.
She has pursued extensive training in manual therapy, with an emphasis on addressing deep, long-standing patterns in the body—working at the levels of nerves, arteries, organs, and connective tissues. Her knowledge extends into functional methods and traditional Thai approaches, including work with Thai midwives on prenatal and postpartum care and herbal healing practices.
In addition to her therapeutic work, Damion draws on a lifetime of movement. With 43 years of dance experience—including 9 years as a professional ballerina, a decade as a touring modern dancer, and 15 years as a professional touring belly dancer—her understanding of body mechanics is both academic and lived.
For five years, she worked closely with a traditional Thai medical doctor to help lead an international team dedicated to translating and preserving classical Thai medical texts. This experience further deepened her commitment to the roots of Thai healing systems.
Since 2011, Damion has also been immersed in the study and practice of Reusi Dat Ton—an ancient blend of meditation, movement, breathwork, and chanting that supports the physical and mental well-being of the practitioner. She offers workshops, private sessions, and integrates these practices into her work with clients. Her contributions to the field have been featured in multiple texts by RDT scholar David Wells.
With humility and dedication, Damion continues to bridge traditional wisdom and modern understanding, supporting others in their journey toward deeper embodiment and healing.
She has had training in tradition osteopathic and function methods taught by Jeffrey Burch an internationally acclaimed teacher of visceral manipulation, Rolfing and craniosacral therapies. She offers customized RDT, stretching, meditation and breathing techniques into therapies.
Damion is currently based in Eugene, OR. She is available for private lessons in Thai Massage, Reusi Dat Ton, and herbal compresses making. Feel free to contact her for scheduling. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist in both Oregon (#16689) and Virginia (#0019006954).
